Meet our Pastor

Pastor Gregory Divinity, Sr. is a native of Utica, Mississippi, and is married to his high school sweetheart, Debra Divinity. Together, they are blessed with six children and grandchildren. He is a graduate of Belhaven College, Jackson, MS, where he earned an undergraduate degree in Business Administration and New Orleans Theological Seminary, New Orlean, LA, where he earned a Master of Theological Studies.

Pastor Divinity honorably retired as a Major from the United States Military after more than 30 years of faithful service to his country. He is the founder and Senior Pastor of New Vineyard Church and also serves as the Senior Administrator of New Vineyard Christian Academy, where his leadership continues to shape both the spiritual and educational growth of the community.

With a deep love for people and a passion for reaching the lost, under his leadership he has implemented numerous outreach ministries, including back-to-school drives, community feeding programs, ministry to the homeless, and initiatives supporting individuals with special needs. Under his vision, New Vineyard has expanded to include preschool, afterschool, and elementary education programs, as well as efforts that address hunger, education, and community development.

Pastor Divinity openly shares how God transformed his life in 1995, an experience that solidified his calling to ministry. He approaches his work with unwavering dedication, gratitude, and faith. His life and leadership are guided by his favorite declaration: “He’s able!”

Our Worship Services

We believe that worship is a powerful way to connect with God and experience His presence in our lives. Our worship services are designed to be uplifting, inspiring, and centered around the teachings of Christ.

What We Believe

We Believe:

That the Holy Bible is the Word of the living God; true, immutable, steadfast, and unchangeable. (11 Tim. 3:16-17)

That there is but one true and living God; and that in the unity of the Godhead there are three, father, son and holy spirit. (IS 43:10, 1 John 5:7)

That while we were yet sinners Christ died for us, the just for the unjust; freely, and by divine appointment of the Father, taking the sinner’s place fully paying his penalty. (Titus 2:14)

That upon sincere repentance, godly sorrow for sin, and a whole-hearted acceptance of the Lord Jesus Christ, they who call upon Him may be justified by faith, through His precious blood. (1 John 1:9, Rom. 5:1,2)

That the baptism of the Holy Spirit is the incoming of the promised Comforter in mighty and glorious fullness to endow the believer with power from on high; to glorify and exalt the Lord Jesus. (Acts 1:5,8, Acts 2:4)

The divine healing is the power of the Lord Jesus Christ to heal the sick and the afflicted in answer to believing prayer (James 5:14-16)

That the second coming of Christ is personal and imminent and that He will descend from Heaven in the clouds of glory. (1 Thess. 4:1617)

That Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. (Heb. 13:8)

Our History

New Vineyard Church: Our journey from 2006 to Present

New Vineyard Church, Inc. was established in April 2006 under the leadership of Pastor Gregory L. Divinity, Sr., in obedience to God’s divine calling to create “A Church of Restoration for All Nations.” The ministry began in the home of Pastor Gregory and Debra Divinity at 19 Nelson Circle in Jackson, Mississippi, with 17 members joining on the first day of worship.

By August 2006, the church relocated to the Bradford Place Clubhouse in Byram, Mississippi, where membership grew to 27. In January 2007, services moved to the Rice Acres Campgrounds in Byram, increasing the congregation to 59 members. Continued growth led the church in January 2009 to the Daniel Memorial Baptist Church Family Life Center at 3784 Terry Road in Jackson, Mississippi, where membership expanded to 108.

In January 2013, New Vineyard Church relocated to 315 Daniel Lake Boulevard in Jackson, Mississippi. The following year, in 2014, the church established its permanent home at 4207 Rainey Road in Jackson, Mississippi, where the ministry flourished to a thriving membership of more than 200 members.

In 2021, New Vineyard expanded by opening a second church location at 620 East Main Street in Utica, Mississippi. This campus later launched a Summer Camp and Afterschool Program in 2023. A third church location has since been added in Natchez, Mississippi and is currently undergoing restoration and beautification.

In addition to spiritual growth, New Vineyard has significantly expanded its community impact through educational and outreach programs. In 2014, the church launched its first Vacation Bible Summer Camp at 315 Daniel Lake Boulevard. After moving to Rainey Road, New Vineyard introduced the Licensed Childcare Summer Camp M.A.R.S. Program in June 2015, followed by the Summer Feeding Program that same year. In February 2016, the Licensed Preschool Program (Infants to 5 years old) was added. In August 2020, the Kindergarten through 5th Grade Elementary Academy was established, further extending the church’s mission in education.

Over the years, New Vineyard Church has developed a wide range of ministries to address the spiritual, educational, and practical needs of its members and the surrounding community.

New Vineyard Church continues to expand its opportunities for service and outreach, remaining faithful to its mission of restoration and community transformation. As the ministry discerns and follows God’s direction, the New Vineyard family remains committed to partnering with Him in His work and impacting lives for generations to come.
